Who are we?
We are a small organic family farm, passionate about producing the most nutritious food possible, sold directly to the public from the farm shop and on delivery, bypassing any 3rd parties.
We milk around 40 Jersey cows, rear calves for beef, have egg laying hens, a fruit orchard and a campsite.
We are a small team who are dedicated to producing the best possible raw or natural products. We are very passionate about the power of natural food and the benefit that it may give. We have first hand experience of the difference food can make and are keen to help enable others in positive outcomes for themselves.
Apart from being known for our high quality raw milk, we also process some of our milk and make this into raw cream, live yoghurt, ghee, cheese and ice-cream. We rear our own beef calves and have a butchery on site where we process these.

Job description
Unique opportunity – Full time general farm worker
Hours: 40 – 60 hours per week depending on ability & hours required.
This includes working Saturdays.
06:30 start with an approximate 18:30 finish.
Wage: £26,500 – £45,000 per annum.
Hourly rate depends on the persons ability and responsibility.
About the job
Our organic dairy herd is antibiotic free and is kept in a loose housing system over winter.
During summer the cows go outside on a paddock grazing system.
We do our own in-house tractor work / silaging.
Due to the small size of our farm and in-house tractor work, this is a very diverse job.
We produce very high quality raw milk, so milking cleanly is of the highest importance.
You must be flexible, especially during the summer months where weather can dictate when work needs to get done.
The ideal candidate will be physically fit, adaptable, and eager to learn about organic and sustainable farming practices.
Responsibilities
- Milking our Jersey cows twice a day in an abreast parlour, ensuring high hygiene standards are met during milking.
- The day to day care of the dairy herd (bedding up, feeding & heat detection), followers, beef cows and hens (feeding and egg collecting)
- Assisting with silaging, muck spreading, topping and other field related tasks.
- Maintaining farm equipment and performing basic repairs using power tools and hand tools.
- Assisting with the upkeep of the caravan site and field boundaries (fencing and strimming etc.)
Experience
- Previous experience in farming is advantageous but not essential. Training will be provided for the right candidate. However, an interest in the job and having a can-do attitude is vital.
- Ability to carry out basic repairs is a plus.
- Willingness to learn about sustainable, organic and regenerative farming practices.
Skills

Job description
Delivery driving
Every Wednesday
You would be delivering to around 40 homes in the Manchester area. You will be responsible for collecting money off the people who pay cash. Ensuring the orders are delivered in good condition providing good customer service.
You will need to be at least 25 years of age and have a clean driving license.
Being flexible and providing holiday cover on other days would be an advantage.
The driving is paid in piece work. Our current driver achieves an hourly rate of approx £16.20/hour
Hours: On average 5am – 3pm, traffic depending.
Job description
Administrative duties and various other tasks relating to the farm shop.
15 – 23 hours/week, every other Sunday. Every Monday & Tuesday
In the morning:
In the office, answering the phone, replying to emails and serving customers that come into the farm shop.
Entering delivery orders into a spreadsheet, ensuring the customer accounts are kept up to date.
Printing the relevant paperwork for the person packing the orders.
Our order system is spreadsheet based, therefore basic knowledge of spreadsheets is a must.
Attention to detail and being able to multitask is important.
The rate will start at £12.30/hour subject to ability and experience.
In the afternoon:
Serving customers if needed.
Sorting, grading and boxing up eggs.
Packaging preparations, such as making up courier boxes and labelling milk bottles.
Hours: On average 9am – 5.15pm, every other Sunday and every Monday and Tuesday.
