On the Farm
In never thought I would say this, but we finally got some rain and we’re celebrating! Earlier in the week we were so desperate for some rain that we ended up watering our veg plot with the watering can…
We just waved goodbye to the last of our students from Germany, so we’ll be a bit busier again without them. They’ve been a great help on the farm.
I’ve been busy in the butchery. We’re nearly finished, so keep an eye on our meat page for fresh beef. I made some beautiful rolled rib roasts yesterday. They’re made from the most flavoursome meat of the animal (chuck / rib area), including some of the rib eye. It looks yummy!
Also just because I can; a video from our kitchen window of some baby blue tits that have just flown the nest. So cute! Parents are still busy looking after them as they seem forever hungry!
