The week commencing Monday 1st January we have the following available.
- Main crop potatoes
- Baking potatoes
- Salad potatoes
For quantities and prices please see our Seasonal page for more information.
From this week we’re changing the fruit pots from 75 ml to 230 ml since we’re unable to get small quantities of 75 ml pots anymore. We would have to buy in 50 years worth! And that just seems a bit silly…
We’ve made some fresh batches of fruit pots in the 230 ml pots last week. We now have the following flavours available:
- Apple & Elderflower
- Plum, Damson and Jostaberry
- Apple and Blackcurrant
What goes into our fruit pots?
Our fruit pots are made from Organic fruit from the orchard at Cliftons Farm. Some of the fruit pots are made with demerara sugar, and some with white sugar.
We prefer to use the more natural demerara sugar, but for some fruits this would affect the delicate fruit flavour, for example raspberry.
Our fruit pots are lower in sugar than jam. Jams often have as much as 40% sugar in them!
We use 73% home grown organic fruit and 27% sugar and that’s all! No other ingredients like water or cornflour are added which is very common in supermarket fruit coulis, so it’s as natural as possible and delicious! You might think these fruit pots are a bit pricey compared to coulis from the supermarket, but that is because there is such a high percentage of fruit in it, without the unnecessary ingredients to “bulk in out”.
