On the Farm
This week we’ve not been able to do a lot since it’s been very wet! We’re also still without a tractor (currently being repaired) and Thomas is still busy trying to find the right replacement tractor.

There was 1 field left to mow for silage, but we’ve decided that we’re going to have to leave it since it’s been so wet and we don’t have a working tractor. Luckily we got quite a bit of silage from the previous cuts so we should have enough to see us through the winter.
Instead we’ve let some young-stock into this field who are gorging themselves of lots of grass! They’re very happy right now!

It looks like the weather this coming week is going to be a lot better! We might get some more weeding done in the veg plot as it currently looks a bit like a jungle!

We’re also planning on sending in 2 animals for slaughter on Monday 16th October. One will be beef and one veal.
If you like to pre-order any meat please send us an email. We will put a post on again about it nearer the time with cuts and prices.

The heat recovery system in the farm shop has finally been installed and is working! I now have a heated office which is great! And we also have warm water near the calves, which means we no longer need to take warm water from the farm house. For us this is quite a lot of progress!
