The week commencing Monday 21st August we have the following available.
- New potatoes
- Small tomatoes (cherry and baby plum)
- Large tomatoes
- Courgettes (only a small amount)
- Raspberries (weather depending*)
- Eating apples
For quantities and prices please see our Seasonal page for more information.
* It will have to be dry for us to pick raspberries because they do not keep if they are wet. If you like to order raspberries for delivery please ensure your order will be over £8 without the raspberries or notify us of an alternative product if raspberries aren’t available.
On the Farm
We’ve managed to do some more silaging this week. We now have enough to get our cows and young stock through the winter, which puts our mind at ease!
We’ve also had some more cows calve. Unfortunately most calves that were born are bulls and milking a bull is a bit difficult! Hopefully we’ll get some more heifer calves soon so we can add them to our milking herd.
There is a lot to do with the fruit and vegetables. There is a lot growing and needing to be picked and processed. There are a lot of plums on the plum trees that need processing. We will be freezing the excess and using it for making fruit pots so that we don’t have any waste.
