On the farm
We’ve had a busy week now summer is coming to a close. We’ve been silaging today for the last time this season. We’ve got another 55 bales of lovely winter feed for the cows. We now have a yard full of bales, which should see us through the winter (well the cows that is!).

We also manged to get all the onions up out of the field which is another job ticked off our to do list. They are now hung up to dry out. In theory we should be able to store them for several months which is great.

We also had one of our ducks hatch some eggs. This is rather late in the year. There was only 1 duckling left when we found out so we caught it and we’re now keeping them in the front garden to keep it safe, like we did last time. I hope the little chap makes it!
