On the Farm
We sent in a veal animal for slaughter last Monday. This will be cut on Saturday, which means fresh veal will be available from Monday 29th August.

Pictures below are from butchering a beef animal last time in our new butchery.

We’ve also been getting some onions up. It’s very important you dry onions properly in order to make them keep well. We struggled with it last year, but this year I came up with an idea; the greenhouse! This time of year the greenhouse isn’t that full anymore with crops, (lettuce and cucumbers have finished) so it’s the perfect place to hang onions up to dry.

Onions drying in greenhouse

We still have 3/4 of the onions in the field, so the greenhouse will soon be bulging with onions!

From the 1st September we’re changing the pot size that the raw cream comes in.

We currently sell the raw cream in 142 ml and 500 ml pots. This will change to just 1 pot size of 284ml, which is half a pint.

The price for the new size is £1.50 for collection from the farm and £2.00 for delivery.
